La Soprintendenza dei Beni Storici Artistici ed Etnoantropologici della Calabria è lieta di annunciare l'avvio di Prima Visione, un programma di residenza per artisti ideato e curato da Francesco Ragazzi e Francesco Urbano (Associazione E) che si terrà dall'1 al 16 Dicembre a Cosenza. La sede della Galleria Nazionale di Palazzo Arnone, sotto la direzione artistica del soprintendente Fabio De Chirico, diventerà il centro di un laboratorio diffuso sul territorio. I quattro artisti in residenza selezionati - Francesco Bertelé, Anja Puntari, Rachele Maistrello, Giulio Squillacciotti - esploreranno la città per scoprire e diffondere l'immaginario di un Sud Italia lontano dalla cartolina. Ad instaurare con loro un confronto teorico e critico, tre ospiti internazionali: la curatrice Marina Fokidis (Kunsthalle Athena, South mag) e gli artisti Akram Zaatari e Miltos Manetas. A loro sarà affidato anche il compito di rispondere alla domanda "come si viaggia verso sud?" in tre incontri pubblici che si terranno, sempre a Palazzo Arnone, il 10 e 11 Dicembre 2012 alle ore 17 e il 14 Dicembre alle ore 16Il progetto, nato nell'ambito del programma Art in Progress. Cantieri del contemporaneo, è promosso dalla Provincia di Cosenza, dalla Soprintendenza per i Beni Storici, Artistici ed Etnoantropologici della Calabria e dal Comune di Marano Principato (CS).

The Regional Board of the Ministry of Historical, Artistic and Ethno-anthropological Heritage of Calabria is happy to announce the beginning of Prima Visionea residency program for artists, curated by Francesco Ragazzi and Francesco Urbano (Associazione E) which will take place from December the 1st until December the 16th in Cosenza. The venue of the National Gallery of Arnone Palace, under the artistic direction of the head of Fine Arts regional board Fabio De Chirico, will become the centre of a laboratory dispersed throughout the region. The four selected resident artists - Francesco Bertelé, Anja Puntari, Rachele Maistrello, Giulio Squillacciotti – will explore the city in order to discover and circulate images of a Southern Italy viewed from a prospective far from the usual picture post-cards. Meeting with them for a theoretical and critical confrontation will be three internationally famous guests: the curator Marina Fokidis (Kunsthalle Athena, South Magazine) and the artists Akram Zaatari and Miltos Manetas. They will also have the task of answering the question "how to travel southwards?" in three public meetings which will be held, again in Palazzo Arnone, on 10th-11th December 2012 at 17 and on December 14th at 16The project is part of Art in Progress.
